
The aim of the Academy is to help young people, 5-17 years, develop: Enthusiasm Confidence Self Esteem Conversational ability Social Skills These aims are achieved through a highly developed , unique , drama programme.
Each lesson is carefully planned. Curriculum includes introductory activities, speech, verbal dynamics, creative movement, dance drama, language development, structured improvisation, dialogue development, snippets, scene starters, mini-scripts, parent day presentations, end of year productions. Above all, our classes are fun!
All Principals and teachers have undergone extensive training in Helen O'Grady curriculum and teaching methods. All are CRB checked. Principals visit classes regularly, monitoring children’s development and providing ongoing support for the teacher. Each lesson stimulates students to be fully involved and motivated.
All students attend a one hour lesson, each week of the school year. The Helen O’Grady curriculum is structured in such a way children may join classes at age five and stay until they are seventeen and never repeat a lesson!
